The Best Tips for Traveling Internationally With a Baby
I've been debating on writing this blog for awhile now. I do quite a bit of traveling and last December was my first time traveling internationally with my baby. My son was 8 months at the time, and we decided to go to Cancun, Mexico.
I'm writing this post because I've had some fellow mommas ask me for some advice on how to navigate the airport with an infant, passport rules, formula, food, strollers, etc.

- Feed your little one
Or give them a pacifier during take off and landing: it helps with adjusting to the change in pressure.
- Book a hotel the night before you're supposed to leave.
This is especially helpful if you're not near a major airport and have to travel a few hours. That way you're not messing with your little ones schedule too much.
- Be the first ones on the plane
Definitely take advantage of getting on the plane first to get settled with your little one. Also, go to the desk right at the gate to get a tag for your stroller. They will take it at the gate for you when you board and will have it ready when you depart the plane.
- Use your hotel’s coffee maker for cleaning bottles
We didn't use the sink water often in Mexico, only to clean the bottles in our room, but we also then boiled some hot water in the coffee maker and basically scalded the bottles and nipples to avoid any bacteria.
